The year of 2018 was an incredible year. No doubt about it. I got to experience pregnancy for the first time, and welcome baby Keaton Radley to the world. I’m not sure it gets any better than that. That said, 2019 started off pretty amazing. In January, I was asked to speak to the HBA students at Ivey Business School about mental health. There were three speakers on the panel and a room full of six hundreds students; most of whom remained awake throughout the duration of the talk. What was most surprising was the amount of students who voluntarily stood up to speak and ask questions. It was clear that we have come a long way since rooms stayed silent when discussing mental health. There is still the stigma, but we are moving forward. And the more we talk about these, the more people will reach out to get the resources and the support they need. And THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!
